06 05 2012 - Public hitchhiking race "Baltics 2012"
Annual public hitchhiking competition "Baltics 2012" took place in Lithuania and Poland. It has been organized by Vilnius Hitch-hiking Club. 33 pairs from Lithuania have participated.
12 04 2012 - Hitchhiking with the Robert
From 3 to 5 April 2012, the oldest active member of the club, Robert Prins, made a short trip with two journalism students. They went from Oostende to Andorra and back to Limoges where their ways parted. Robert wrote about it on his blog, Justina and Maarten filmed the trip as part of their Live on the Road project. Their trip with Robert can be seen at Hitch Hiking with the Master.

02 10 2011 - 15th anniversary of Vilnius Hitch-hiking Club
This weekend we have celebrated the 15th birthday of Vilnius Hitch-hiking Club. The club's birthday celebration is an annual event with traditional awards for the club's best travellers of the year and the inauguration of club's novices. This year there were
22 participants from Lithuania and Belgium. During the weekend celebration the traditional annual awards were issued for the best female hitch-hiker of the year (Katja Lachman, 13.325 km) and the best male hitch-hiker of the year (Vilmantas Trumpickas, over 39.000 km).
02 10 2011 - 15 years to Vilnius Hitch-hiking Club
VHHC celebrates it's 15th anniversary today! Congratulations to all former and current members! Vivat!
Alexey Vorov, President of Saint Petersburg Hitch-hiking League has presented Transglobal Hitch-hiking Race in Vilnius Hitch-hiking Club meeting on 30 June 2011.
The last time Alexey presented this project in our club was in December 1996! Afterwards, members of Vilnius Hitch-hiking Club participated in both selection stages to the World Hitch-hiking Trophy - it is how we've been naming it in the last century.
02 02 2011 - Robert Prins passes one light-second
On 2 February 2011 at 10:47, club member Robert Prinsrecorded hitchhiking distance exceeded 299,792.5 km, the distance light covers in one second. The event happened during a ride with an Italian driver who gave him a ride from Luxembourg towards Brussels. Robert started recording his rides on 16 June 1980 at 7:47, which makes him about one billion times slower than
light.
28 12 2010 - World hitchhiking records updated
Section of the world hitchhiking records has been updated. Two new records were added - the second southernmost point reached by hitchhiking and the third best distance hitchhiked during the year by the member of our club Vilmantas Trumpickas.
